Who We Are
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations, and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates 3 pet adoption centers in Tarrant County as well as several PetSmart Cat Adoption Centers, several Petco Cat Adoption Centers, and an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
What We Do
Our vision is to build a community where pets and people save each other. HSNT’s mission is to save, shelter, protect, and advocate for all animals in need in North Texas.
